A character for Buddy, a manufacturer of industrial products: bonding liquids, primers, waterproofing and cement additives. The kind of brand that is bought by the person who will be kneeling on the floor using it.
So the mascot is that person rather than a superhero version of them: a tough standard Joe, capable and hardworking and honest, dressed in what an industrial floor worker actually wears and carrying what they actually carry. The one gesture he makes is the OK sign, which is the whole promise of the product line in one hand.
Everything about the silhouette is legible at a distance: the cap turned backwards, the checked shirt, the belt, the boots. A mascot that only works at full size is a rendering, not a mark.
